Individual therapy for adults only.
I have solid and consistent experience treating the following conditions:
My theoretical approach to individual therapy is based upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which utilizes several techniques, including but not limited to: assertiveness training, bibliotherapy, social-skills training, role playing, graded exposure, behavioral experiments, mindfulness and cognitive restructuring. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to meet each of my client’s individual needs.
I provide Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples in distress.
Couples therapy is not appropriate for couples in which an active intimate third party person is still involved, domestic violence is occurring, or there is unaddressed substance abuse.
I only accept private pay for couples therapy ($128 per 50 minute session). For a further explanation on why I do not bill insurance for couples therapy see the information provided on the couples therapy webpage.
I also provide couples workshops based upon the Emotional Focused Therapy model. Please see the "Couples Workshops" webpage for more information on upcoming events.
Premarital / Newlyweds Therapy
I provide psychoeducation based therapy packages for premarital counseling. I only accept private pay for premarital therapy. Please see "Premarital / Newlyweds Counseling" webpage for further information.
I love having the opportunity to give back and help other counselors in their professional development. I am endorsed as an approved Supervisor by Idaho Board of Licensure of Professional Counselors and provide supervision to counselors in training and LPC's working on fulfilling their post-graduate supervision hours. Please email me at email@example.com if you would like to schedule a free meet and greet consultation.
Initial intake session: $200 (60-75 minutes)
Regular appointments: $125-150 per session (cost depends on length of session)
Payment is expected at the time of services. Cash, check, Health Savings Account, and all major credit and debit cards are accepted for payment. Please make checks out to Boise City Counseling.
Good Faith Estimate
Good Faith Estimates Notice. Notice to clients and prospective clients:
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
I do work with some insurance carriers. It is your responsibility to ensure all relevant insurance policy information is provided prior to your sessions and you remain financially responsible for all charges of services whether or not they are covered by your insurance carrier. Depending your insurance coverage you may be expected to pay a co-payment or deductible, please check with your provider for details.
I am currently contracted with Blue Cross of Idaho, United Behavioral Health, Regence, Aetna, Select Health and Idaho Physicians Network (IPN).
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not provided at least 24 hours advance notice, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. All appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours advance notice are subject to a missed appointment fee of $115, the full session rate (not just an individual's co-pay).
Returned checks will be charged the amount of the check and a $25.00 processing fee.
